TRAP THAT OLMERT HAS BEEN LED INTO IN GAZA

The big question remains the false leaders of the Olmert Government in Israel itself, but this is a Government which is mainly controlled by Bush. The American ruling class has now led Israel into a grievous trap.

I would bring Irish reader´s attention to the following summing up of the situation over the kidnapping of the Israeli soldier by the editor of Israpundit, Ted Belham:

“Israel can’t retreat without Shalit and thus must go to war. This would be OK if Israel could go all the way and destroy the entire peace process. But what will happen is that Israel will destroy Hamas at great cost and then will be forced to retreat. Thus restoring Abbas to power so that the US can force a deal on both Abbas and Israel. ”

Basically all of this centres on the Bush preparations and decision to go at all cost for a Palestinian State. That is in order to keep his Arab oil paymasters happy.

Olmert huffed and puffed after his soldier was abducted. But his huffing and puffing, warnings that mean nothing, hitting a few bridges etc, telling Arabs to vacate an area in case they get hurt, then doing nothing anyway, saying no negotiations and then having the Egyptians (THE EGYPTIANS) negotiate on behalf of Olmert, with the heavy hand of the US on his shoulders telling him to do nothing rash (Rice). Meanwhile Hamas prepares.

But the main danger remains Abbas who plays all the time to world opinion and who all the time seeks to make Israel out to be the problem and the offender.

So what is the trap that the US has led Olmert into?

People in Ireland should read this following piece for an answer and to appreciate the danger.

On July 1 2006 Israpundit quoted this from a DEBKAfile report:

Israel Suckered, Israpundit July 1 2006

DEBKAfile’s Palestinian sources report that Abu Mazen has calculated cynically that Olmert is in a fix: he can hardly keep on dragging out Operation Summer Rain any longer, and he will end up destroying the Hamas government on behalf of the Palestinian leader. This will not of course prevent Abbas from calling on the world to intervene and rescue the innocent Palestinian people from the Israeli armed forces.

Our political sources note that Israel’s leaders fell into the disastrous error of putting their trust in the Egyptian ruler instead of entrusting the IDF with a swift, comprehensive offensive to vanquish Hamas. The result of their dilly-dallying is that Israel is being dragged against its will into a far broader and more costly conflict whose outcome is incalculable against an enemy which has used the time gained to prepare for the fray.

Saturday too the Lebanese Hizballah placed its forces on the ready. Hassan Nasrallah, the terrorist group’s leader, explained that when the IDF attacks Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian organizations in Lebanon will be set loose against Israel’s northern border. ”

And to this Israpundit editor Ted Belham added:

“Israel can’t retreat without Shalit and thus must go to war. This would be OK if Israel could go all the way and destroy the entire peace process. But what will happen is that Israel will destroy Hamas at great cost and then will be forced to retreat. Thus restoring Abbas to power so that the US can force a deal on both Abbas and Israel. ”

Yes, we know the Arab Palestinian movement is Fascist. It is the enemy which is called the friend which is the big problem for Israel. And that friend-enemy is the Bush Government. Even though Kerry would have been EVEN worse does not lessen the blow. These blows from the American Government rain down on Rice day in and day out.

The neo-Left who continually spout nonsence about America backing Israel works to hide this reality. In fact, you could say that that is the historical role of the neo-Left on this issue.

Meanwhile, American friends of Israel, and there are thankfully many, have to address the fact that Republican Bush and his government promote the Fascist Palestinian state, the aim of which is to destroy Israel.
