ANGLICAN REPORT IS ANTI-SEMITISM IN ACTION

This is one of the most serious moves on anti-Semitism that there has been in Britain for a long time. But it is not just tied to Britain, the Anglicans have scores of branches around the world. I read the report in the Haaretz Service:

‘The Anglican Church is to consider a report calling for it to dispose of its holdings in companies doing business with Israelis who "support the occupation of Palestinian lands," a move that is being roundly criticized by some of the UK's top Jewish officials, the British daily newspaper The Times reported Saturday.The report calling for disinvestment is to be debated by the worldwide Anglican Church in Nottingham on June 22. It mirrors a program already begun by the Presbyterian Church in the U.S., The Times reported.’

There are certain things which caught my attention in the above. Leave aside the lying accusation of Occupation. The heading of this piece by Haaretz is “UK Jews blast the report on divestiture from Israel” gives an impression that it is Jews alone who are opposed to such anti-Semitism, an impression of isolation.

Whether such a report is passed or not note very carefully in the above that this anti-Semitic report will be “debated by the worldwide Anglican Church” and this is what is anti-Semitism in action. Why should such a report be debated anywhere and why are the proposers of this report not expelled from the Anglican Church at once? That is the real question? How and since when is it democratic and “civilized” to debate Jew hatred?

On hearing of such a report any self-respecting religious cleric would immediately order a consignment of sick-bags to be circulated throughout the British Anglican Churches and while holding their collective nose would not wait for a second before depatching the perpetrators out through the door. If the Anglicans had anyguts or principle it would have been immediate expulsion. But they haven’t.

Who proposed it anyway?
‘It would be unprecedented for the Anglican Consultative Council to reject the report. Once it has been accepted, the Church's 38 provinces worldwide will be asked to implement it. The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Rowan Williams, has been consulted about the plan. Canon Brian Grieves, the U.S. church's representative on the Anglican Peace and Justice Network, which drew up the report, said that the aim was to "engage" with companies doing business in Israel. "If we discovered, for example, that we owned stock in a fast-food chain doing business in one of the settlements, the first appeal would be to encourage that company to move itself out of the settlement. Divestment would be a last resort," Grieves said.’

So what I gather from that is that Williams, Holy Joe Himself, was consulted, and Grieves “the U.S. church's representative on the Anglican Peace and Justice Network” was the anti-Semite responsible. So who is worse, Grieves or Williams? A difficult choice there I would say.

And what about those self-hating and Israel-hating British Jewish brigade, led from the very top of the British Jewish Establishment? What about Rabbi Sacks Chief Rabbi no less? Where does he and they stand?

Where we would expect him to stand, of course, attacking Israel and lining up with Sharon, Bush and Blair over the Gaza ethnic cleansing of Jews! Read this also from Haaretz:

‘UK Chief Rabbi, Dr. Jonathan Sacks, intends to make the "strongest representations" to Anglican bishops about the report. "[The report] does not reflect the present reality. The Israeli Government has recognised the prospect of a Palestinian state, announced that it intends to disengage from Gaza and has committed itself to the 'road map'", said Rabbi Barry Marcus, Sacks' spokesman on Israel. "Any move towards divestment is wrong in principle, and will be seen as discouraging the momentum in Israel towards a peaceful resolution," Marcus said. ’

This is strong!

In a couple of sentences Sacks calls for the PLO terror state under Arafat2 to be set up, supports handing Gaza over to the fascist Hamas from where it will launch its total mop-up of Jews operation, and to make his betrayal of Jews comprehensive supports the Road Map.

You can see immediately that Sacks can do a pretty good job himself at betraying Jews and handing them into the jaws of Hamas and Abbas. So join him to this anti-Semitic Anglican bunch and you have something a little unique. The houndogs of anti-Semitism are gathering. From without AND from within!
